Description

Lead the Accounting/Finance workstream in an SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud transformation. You will work hands-on in the SAP system to analyze posting logic, run tests (including variants), capture requirements and dependencies, and support UAT. After Go-Live, you’ll take functional responsibility for stabilizing and continuously improving the accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as functional lead in the Accounting/Finance stream for the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud project
• Work hands-on in SAP: replicate real business transactions, analyze booking logic, test variants, and derive functional assessments
• Collect functional requirements and make dependencies and system interfaces transparent—especially across end-to-end processes (e.g., close and reporting)
• Create and present decision material (options, impacts, risks) based on your system tests
• Contribute actively to User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Ensure knowledge transfer to operational teams
• Post–Go-Live: take functional responsibility for stabilization, further development, and optimization; analyze error patterns, support releases and changes, and continuously improve processes

Requirements

• Multi-year accounting experience in a group/consolidated environment (HGB), including strong experience around month-end and year-end close
• Experience in SAP transformation or implementation projects (S/4HANA, preferably Public Cloud) and understanding of modern system landscapes
• Hands-on mentality and enjoyment of working directly in the system—actively testing and solving issues
• Strong structuring and execution skills to make complex topics actionable, derive options, and prepare decisions
• Negotiation-level German communication skills and good English; ideally experience with UAT/test coordination or interfaces to upstream/downstream systems
