Description

You will lead technical execution for AI-supported development teams and show how GenAI can be applied meaningfully across the entire software lifecycle. The role includes establishing AI-assisted delivery workflows (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, review/test/documentation assistants), improving both quality and velocity, and integrating AI services into development environments and CI/CD pipelines. You will also coach the team and stay current with GenAI developments.

Responsibilities

• Lead Dev teams technically and demonstrate how to use GenAI throughout the software lifecycle

• Establish working methods where tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and review agents are used as standard

• Improve quality & velocity (e.g., generated tests, refactoring, better documentation, structured AI prompts)

• Realize and integrate AI services (e.g., MCP-Server, internal AI APIs) into customer development environments and CI/CD pipelines

• Do hands-on coding in backend (Java, Spring Boot/Quarkus), frontend (TypeScript, React/Angular/Vue), or fullstack; participate in pair and mob programming sessions

• Coach and enable developers to use AI responsibly and efficiently; build guidelines, best practices, and living playbooks; continuously learn

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a software developer

• Technical leadership experience (Lead Dev/Tech Lead/Principal Engineer or equivalent)

• Completed degree in an IT-near field

• Very good knowledge of at least one core stack: Java/Spring Boot/Quarkus or TypeScript/React/Angular/Vue

• Strong Clean Code practices, Testing experience, and CI/CD knowledge

• Intensive experience with AI-assisted development (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, PR agents with project context) and awareness of pitfalls

• Experience with microservices, APIs, and deployment environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud)

• Understanding of agentic software development trends and ability to choose the right automation level

• Mentoring mindset: provide feedback and help define standards and best practices

• Very good German and good English proficiency
