Network Engineer

Summary

The role of a Network Engineer is primarily focused on managing and optimizing the organization's network infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance, which is critical for supporting ongoing IT projects and operations.

Main Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network systems, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Perform network configuration and upgrades in line with company requirements and industry best practices.
• Respond to network issues and outages, providing efficient solutions in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to deploy network solutions for various projects.
• Assist in planning network capacity, ensuring scalability and redundancy for future growth.
• Provide network documentation, including topology, IP addresses, and detailed configuration.
• Maintain and optimize existing network systems, recommending and implementing improvements.
• Conduct regular system checks and performance evaluations.
• Stay updated with emerging networking technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements.
• Travel to client sites for network installations, troubleshooting, and support activities; travel is required within the UAE.

Key Requirements

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, and experience with network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and techniques.
• Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of network security principles and best practices.

Nice to Have

• CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or other relevant certifications preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with cross-functional teams.

Other Details

• Frequent travel to client sites is required within the UAE.
• Must have an own car and a valid driving license.
