Description

Operate and maintain highly available Linux server landscapes, including MySQL cluster administration and replication. Deploy and maintain open-source stacks (e.g., Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, Varnish), automate configuration management with Puppet and Ansible, and support incident and performance management. Contribute to architecture and infrastructure planning while working in a hands-on Linux-focused team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain high-availability Linux server environments
• Administer MySQL clusters and replication
• Deploy and maintain open-source stacks (Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, Varnish, etc.)
• Automate and manage configuration (Puppet, Ansible)
• Work with virtualization (KVM, RHEV/oVirt) and container environments
• Use Shell scripting and contribute basic programming skills
• Manage incidents and performance proactively
• Participate in architecture and infrastructure planning

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Linux system administration
• In-depth Linux knowledge (CentOS, RHEL, Debian)
• Experience with MySQL configuration, clustering, and replication
• Strong knowledge of common open-source server services (Apache, Nginx, Tomcat/Wildfly, Varnish, Postfix, Dovecot)
• Automation skills with Puppet and Ansible
• Familiarity with DNS, mail services, and system infrastructure
• Confident handling of the Linux command line
• German C1 and English B2
• Completed technical/natural science degree or IT apprenticeship
• Valid driving license (Class B)
