Description

This position provides electrical and power design support for pipeline, compressor station, and terminal/tank projects nationwide. You will participate in a multi-disciplinary project team in a lead role and bring electrical/power design, engineering, and technical expertise, with oil and gas experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical and power design support for oil & gas projects nationwide
  • Lead participation in multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Support construction, site commissioning, and start-up activities
  • Troubleshoot electrical/power issues
  • Specify and procure electrical equipment
  • Communicate with peers, contractors, and clients
  • Train junior staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 5-10 years of experience in Electrical or Power Engineering (Oil and Gas experience preferred)
  • P.E. preferred
  • Proficient with cable and conduit schedules, ETAP, power equipment sizing
  • Well-versed in NFPA 70
  • Construction support, site commissioning, and start-up experience
  • Exposure to Substation design is a plus
  • Experience specifying and procuring electrical equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Self-starter capable of handling solo projects and working with a group
  • Ability to train Junior staff and communicate clearly and efficiently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Pre-employment drug screen compliant with federal regulations is required
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is desired
