It facilitates deployment of complex technical solutions by creating templates, playbooks, and automation, improving reliability and efficiency, and driving innovation and continuous improvement. As a technical authority and platform owner, it drives architecture, standards, and engineering practices across modern data technologies including MongoDB, Redis, and graph databases (e.g., GraphDB, Neo4j, Stardog), plus emerging distributed and specialized data platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a consultant on technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive business outcomes
  • Develop software solutions for manual/repeatable work or inefficient processes; contribute to end-to-end engineering technology strategy and provide feedback to architecture teams
  • Translate business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment under architecture standards and policies
  • Participate in steering committees for technical and infrastructure service domains
  • Lead evaluation of reference models, blueprints, and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose
  • Mentor and guide team members to ensure designs comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards

Benefits

The posting emphasizes a workplace focused on responsible growth, inclusion, talent development, and teammate wellness, with recognition and reward for performance and community impact.

Requirements

  • 7+ years as an Infrastructure Engineer or working in a similar function
  • Define and own target architecture and engineering strategy for modern database platforms across the enterprise
  • Establish reference architectures, design patterns, and standards for document (MongoDB), in-memory (Redis), and graph/knowledge graph platforms
  • Evaluate and guide adoption of emerging database technologies aligned to enterprise needs (e.g., AI/GraphRAG, real-time processing, fraud/KYC use cases)
  • Ensure architecture aligns with hybrid, multi-cloud, and sovereignty considerations
  • Lead creation of API-driven, self-service database platforms that abstract complexity from application teams
  • Define and implement service catalogs, golden deployment patterns, standardized provisioning workflows, and reusable automation frameworks
  • Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code and platform-as-a-product principles
  • Ensure standardized configurations, built-in governance and controls, and strong developer experience
  • Architect enterprise-grade resilience (multi-region/multi-site HA, failover, disaster recovery, backup/restore)
  • Lead performance engineering: sharding/partitioning, Redis caching patterns, workload isolation, and scaling models
  • Define and enforce SLOs/SLAs and reliability benchmarks
  • Introduce proactive capacity planning and performance optimization models
  • Integrate with network, compute, and storage layers (segmentation/routing/load balancing; VM/bare metal/container orchestration; block/file/object and performance tiers)
  • Enable Kubernetes/operator-based database management; standardize connectivity and security patterns
  • Drive consistency across hybrid and multi-cloud deployments
