Description

You will create and develop automated tests in Python, preparing test strategy based on requirements and solution architecture, and executing test scenarios and test cases. You will perform both automated and manual testing, validate functional and non-functional requirements, test solutions using physical laboratory hardware, and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps). You will manage test execution and reporting in Zephyr Scale and Azure DevOps, analyze defects with developers and verify fixes, and collaborate with developers and Power Systems domain experts in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and develop automated tests in Python
  • Prepare test strategy based on requirements and solution architecture
  • Create and execute test scenarios and test cases
  • Perform automated and manual testing
  • Test functional and non-functional requirements
  • Test solutions using physical laboratory hardware
  • Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps
  • Manage test execution and reporting in Zephyr Scale and Azure DevOps
  • Analyze defects with developers and verify implemented fixes
  • Collaborate with developers and Power Systems domain experts
  • Expand domain knowledge related to power systems and electrical grids
  • Participate in team activities within Agile/Scrum environment

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Software QA / Software Testing
  • Hands-on experience in test automation using Python
  • Experience in independently preparing test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases
  • Experience with both automated and manual testing
  • Knowledge of functional and non-functional testing
  • Experience in testing systems interacting with physical hardware or willingness to work with laboratory equipment
  • Experience with CI/CD, preferably using Azure DevOps
  • Knowledge of test management tools, preferably Zephyr Scale or similar solutions
  • Ability to analyze defects and collaborate with developers on troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of Git and the standard SDLC process
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Knowledge of or interest in the Power Systems / Energy / Industrial Systems domain
  • Familiarity with protocols (plus): IEC 60870-5-104, Modbus, OPC, IEEE C37.118
  • Docker and Kubernetes (additional advantage)
  • BDD / Gherkin (plus)
  • Performance testing or compliance testing (plus)
  • ISTQB certification (additional advantage)
  • Willingness to be present in Kraków when testing activities require access to physical laboratory equipment
