The Senior Modern Workplace Engineer manages and maintains the enterprise Windows and multi-platform endpoint ecosystem (iOS, Android; macOS is a plus) via Microsoft Intune. The role includes designing and maintaining device configuration profiles, compliance policies, and enrollment workflows; planning and executing OS and third-party patch cycles; tracking vulnerability reports and coordinating remediation; packaging and distributing business software using enterprise deployment tools and scripting; managing the centralized application catalogue and software lifecycle; resolving escalated 2nd-line incidents with root-cause analysis; and maintaining comprehensive ITIL-aligned technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the enterprise Windows and multi-platform endpoint ecosystem (iOS, Android; macOS is a plus) via Microsoft Intune
• Design, refine, and maintain device configuration profiles, compliance policies, and enrollment workflows with L3 engineers
• Plan, schedule, and execute operating system and third-party application patch cycles across all managed devices
• Track vulnerability reports, ensure compliance reporting, and coordinate timely remediation per IT security standards
• Package, test, and distribute business software using enterprise deployment tools and scripting
• Manage the centralized application catalogue and oversee the full software lifecycle
• Investigate and resolve escalated 2nd-line incidents requiring backend administrative privileges and root-cause analysis
• Maintain comprehensive, ITIL-aligned technical documentation (operational procedures, device baselines, known issues)

Requirements

• Proven track record in 2nd-line IT support, systems administration, or workplace engineering
• Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Intune / Microsoft Endpoint Manager across desktop and mobile platforms
• Solid practical experience in enterprise patch management, vulnerability remediation, and application packaging
• Familiarity with diverse operating systems and form factors (Windows laptops/desktops, mobile devices; macOS is an asset)
• Detail-oriented, process-driven mindset with a solid foundation in ITIL service management
• Proactive approach to staying current with emerging digital workplace technologies and endpoint security practices
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills with full professional fluency in English
