Senior Data Business Analyst – Data Strategy & Pega Integration

Description

As a Senior Data Business Analyst, you will support strategic data enhancement initiatives within the UK Data Strategy Sub Value Stream for a bank’s CTO. You will elicit business needs, map data attributes, and enable the delivery of quality data to support customer campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate workshops and interviews to elicit comprehensive business requirements.
  • Identify and map data attributes aligned with business use cases.
  • Enable delivery of data to Pega teams supporting customer marketing initiatives.
  • Create and manage Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs).
  • Support solution design, including Solution Design Documents (SDDs) and options papers.
  • Assist with testing activities, particularly User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Prepare and present governance documentation for Steerco, SVS Review, and Working Groups.
  • Collaborate in Agile frameworks, participating in Scrum ceremonies using Jira and Confluence.
  • Support Waterfall delivery processes and conduct process mapping activities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in change delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in data analysis and mapping data attributes to business needs.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Proven process mapping experience.
  • Experience with Agile delivery (Scrum, Jira, Confluence) and Waterfall delivery models.
  • Ability to elicit requirements through workshops and interviews.
  • Experience creating and managing BRDs and RTMs.
  • Solution design expertise, including SDDs and options papers.
  • Testing support experience, especially UAT.
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive attitude, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Fluent English.
  • Existing legal right to work in the European Union.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience within HSBC or a similar banking environment.
  • Knowledge of data controls, data quality, or data governance.
  • Experience with Pega platforms.
