Role Overview

An experienced Senior Software Engineer is sought to support global digital and OT initiatives across multiple production sites in Europe, Asia, and the United States. The role requires strong expertise in Operational Technology (OT), Kafka, Internet of Things (IoT), and advanced manufacturing environments.

The consultant will work closely with engineering, OT, and manufacturing teams to design, implement, and optimize scalable OT/IoT solutions in complex industrial settings.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain OT and IoT solutions across global manufacturing sites.
  • Implement and optimize Kafka-based data pipelines for real-time industrial data processing.
  • Work with Unix namespace, cindatrical (if applicable to internal terminology), and other OT-related technologies.
  • Integrate OT systems with enterprise platforms to ensure secure, reliable data flows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Europe, Asia, and the USA to support digital manufacturing initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance and best practices within OT, IoT, and industrial software engineering.
  • Participate in on-site assessments, solution deployments, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with global standards for safety, security, and manufacturing excellence.

Key Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Senior Software Engineer within OT and industrial environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Kafka, including architecture, development, and optimization.
  • Solid experience with IoT platforms, industrial connectivity, and sensor-based data acquisition.
  • Proficiency with Unix namespace and related system-level engineering.
  • Experience with manufacturing systems, production lines, and industrial automation.
  • Ability to work independently and drive complex technical initiatives across multiple regions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with global stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% to various locations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and methodologies.

Other Details

Remote work is possible, though the consultant must be available for on-site work when required in either Copenhagen or Poznan. The engagement is expected to start around 1 October 2026, with a duration of 6–12 months and the potential for extension.
