SAP CAP Java Team Leader

We are looking for a seasoned SAP CAP Java Team Leader to join the team. In this role, you will develop multiple services from the ground up within the SAP Business Network. You will be involved in all stages of the product development and deployment lifecycle, including idea generation, planning, design, prototyping, execution, shipping, and iteration. The role requires problem-solving skills and the ability to write clean, effective code.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development team in building commercial software solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and UX.
  • Help the team analyze, research, and resolve production issues, customer requests, and inquiries; escalate when appropriate.
  • Assess the severity and scope of production problems and maintain accountability until they are fully resolved.
  • Organize and address multiple production issues and customer requests from various sources, delegating when appropriate.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience in software development.
  • At least 1 year of people management or team leadership experience, leading a team of 5 or more FTEs.
  • Deep knowledge of design patterns and data structures.
  • Experience coding web-based applications and coordinating a development team.
  • Experience building web APIs and applying API-first design principles, including Swagger, GraphQL, and REST API.
  • Fiori-based development skills, including SAPUI5, OData, and CAP CDS.
  • Mastery of Java Spring Boot and web service development.
  • Familiarity with Hana DB for enterprise data management.
  • Proficiency with GitHub, Jenkins, Selenium, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Puppet, and Chef.
  • Good understanding of deployment environments, application configuration, and change management principles.
  • Familiarity with at least one relational database management system.
  • Agile development experience using version control platforms such as Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with issue-tracking tools such as Jira for defect management.
  • English at B2 level or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
