About the role

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join a team responsible for the maintenance, development, and support of key business systems.

The role is suited to a flexible and inquisitive person with a strong technical focus—someone who can thoroughly analyze how systems work, ensure a smooth change deployment process, and act as a discussion partner for engineering teams and Site Services.

A broad range of competencies is valued within the team. Solid IT Support fundamentals and experience in at least one or two of the listed areas or tools are welcomed.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis and technical support: Independently analyze system issues, diagnose, and resolve incidents involving business applications and pension, payroll, and HR systems.

  • Coordination and collaboration: Work closely with the Site Services team, provide technical task guidance, discuss technical matters, and jointly resolve complex issues.
  • Windows and database environment engineering: Maintain and support applications running in a Windows Server environment and work with MS SQL databases.
  • Documentation and standards: Create and update technical documentation, including Runbooks, SOPs, and Disaster Recovery Plans, and work according to standard ITIL procedures for Change and Incident Management.

Requirements

  • Experience in an Application Support or Systems Support Engineer role at L2/L2+ level.
  • Working English proficiency for an international team.
  • Very good knowledge of Windows Server administration, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Good knowledge of MS SQL Server management, configuration, basic queries, and database troubleshooting.
  • Practical knowledge of Incident and Change Management processes; familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools is an advantage.
  • Understanding of the deployment lifecycle, including Release and Deployment Management, in test and production environments.
  • Experience creating SOPs, DRPs, and technical instructions such as Runbooks.
  • Strong analytical thinking, flexibility, clear communication, and precise technical language.

Additional advantages

Familiarity with one or more of the following areas is valued; knowledge of every system is not required.

HR, Payroll, and Mobility systems

  • Experience supporting Pensions, Payroll, Time and Benefits, Time Management, Stock or Equity, or Global Mobility systems.

Specialized application tools

  • Practical knowledge of or experience supporting CaseIQ, Peeps, Whisply, or Curayo.

Employment conditions

  • B2B contract.
  • Fully remote service delivery.
  • Broad range of internal and international projects, with a variety of clients and tasks.
  • Additional benefits available as part of the collaboration.
  • Networking and team-building events for project teams.
