Senior IT Product Architect

The Retail domain supports key commercial decisions across markets, including pricing, promotions, retail execution, forecasting, and revenue growth. The area brings together business-critical platforms, advanced analytics, and data-driven solutions that help sales and commercial teams optimize performance, improve decision-making, and deliver value to customers and consumers.

How you will make an impact

You will be responsible for setting the architectural direction across the commercial landscape, spanning TPM, NRM, REX, data and analytics platforms. Together with the Head of Product and product owners, you will drive key architectural decisions, define roadmaps, guide integration and investment choices, and ensure quality, simplicity, and business value across the retail landscape.

Furthermore, you will:

• Coach and guide cross-functional teams, strengthening architectural capabilities among developers, product owners, data teams, and business stakeholders.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and capabilities, including AI, analytics, and automation, and guide how these can create business value.
• Drive long-term architectural integrity and technical quality across the retail landscape, ensuring today’s decisions strengthen rather than fragment the portfolio.

You will report to the IT Architecture Partner and work as part of a wider architecture community.

You combine architectural depth with genuine business understanding, and recognize that the hardest problems in a retail domain are rarely purely technical. You have strong coaching and influencing skills, can lead technical direction across multiple teams without direct authority, and can bring developers and business stakeholders along.

Further, you bring:

• Proven experience as a Product Architect, Solution Architect, or in a similar role in large, complex IT landscapes; experience within retail, consumer goods, or a similar commercial domain is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of enterprise platforms and integration, including SAP integration. Familiarity with trade promotion, revenue management, retail execution, or comparable commercial processes is a strong advantage.
• End-to-end architectural thinking across applications, integrations, data, analytics, and business capabilities, with the ability to see system coherence beyond individual projects.
• A track record of working closely with product leadership, shaping roadmaps, advising Heads of Product and product owners, and connecting business strategy with technical direction.
• Experience with agile ways of working in an enterprise setting and strong communication skills in professional English.
