Senior SAP CAP Java Developer

We are seeking a Senior SAP CAP Java Developer to develop multiple services from the ground up within SAP Business Network. You will participate in the full product development and deployment lifecycle, including idea generation, planning, design, prototyping, execution, shipping and iteration.

As a problem solver, you will write clean, effective code and work closely with the team architect and product manager. You will break complex roadmap features into technical components, develop them independently and advocate for best practices and quality to create scalable microservices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team leaders to create commercial software
• Work autonomously to analyze, research and solve production issues, customer requests and inquiries; escalate when appropriate
• Assess problem severity and scope, maintaining accountability through resolution
• Organize and address multiple production issues and customer requests efficiently, delegating when appropriate
• Break down complex product roadmap features into technical components and develop them independently
• Advocate for best practices and quality to build scalable microservices
• Partner closely with the team architect and product manager throughout the product lifecycle

Requirements

• At least 5+ years of experience coding web-based applications
• Knowledge of design patterns and data structures
• Background in building web APIs and API-first design principles, including Swagger, GraphQL and REST APIs
• Fiori-based development skills, including SAPUI5, OData and CAP CDS
• Expertise in Java Spring Boot and web service development
• Familiarity with HANA DB and at least one relational database management system
• Proficiency with GitHub, Jenkins and Selenium
• Competency with Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform
• Capability to use Puppet and Chef
• Understanding of deployment environments, application configuration and change management principles
• Agile development experience using Git, GitHub or GitLab
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP or Azure, and Jira
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher
