Senior SAP CAP Java Developer

We are seeking a Senior SAP CAP Java Developer to build multiple services from the ground up within SAP Business Network. You will participate in the full product development and deployment lifecycle, from idea generation and planning through design, prototyping, execution, release, and iteration.

As a problem solver, you will write clean, effective code and work closely with the team architect and product manager. You will break complex roadmap features into technical components, develop them independently, and advocate for best practices and quality to build scalable microservices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team leaders to create commercial software
• Work autonomously to analyze, research, and resolve production issues, customer requests, and inquiries; escalate when appropriate
• Assess problem severity and scope and remain accountable until resolution
• Organize and address multiple production issues and customer requests from several sources; delegate when appropriate
• Break down complex product roadmap features into technical components and develop them independently
• Advocate for best practices and quality to build scalable microservices
• Partner closely with the team architect and product manager throughout the product lifecycle

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience coding web-based applications
• Knowledge of design patterns and data structures
• Experience building web APIs and applying API-first design principles, including Swagger, GraphQL, and REST APIs
• Fiori development skills, including SAPUI5, OData, and CAP CDS
• Java Spring Boot and web-service development expertise
• Familiarity with HANA DB and at least one relational database management system
• Proficiency with GitHub, Jenkins, and Selenium
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Ability to use Puppet and Chef configuration-management tools
• Understanding of deployment environments, application configuration, and change-management principles
• Agile development experience using Git, GitHub, or GitLab
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure, and Jira
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2) or higher
