About the Role

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will leverage strong software engineering skills and a deep understanding of production systems to build scalable, reliable, and easy-to-operate infrastructure using code.

You will design and build internal platforms powering product features, AI systems, and analytics using AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), MySQL (RDS), OpenSearch, DynamoDB, Redis, Terraform, Datadog, and several programming languages.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build frameworks, tools, and services improving infrastructure reliability, observability, and scalability.
  • Lead end-to-end projects across multiple systems and teams from scoping to rollout.
  • Enhance operability of stateful infrastructure such as MySQL, OpenSearch, and DynamoDB.
  • Debug production issues effectively; participate in an on-call rotation with a focus on durable fixes.
  • Collaborate with product teams to develop a reliable service-oriented architecture.
  • Share expertise through code reviews, design discussions, and mentoring.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in software engineering focused on building and operating backend systems at scale.
  • Proficiency in Go, Python, Scala, and TypeScript, including production code development and system design.
  • Strong knowledge of distributed systems and storage technologies (SQL, NoSQL), especially in AWS.
  • Experience with AWS services (RDS, EKS, IAM), Terraform, and Datadog or similar monitoring tools.
  • Good understanding of SRE principles, with a focus on reliability as a software problem.
  • Clear communication and collaborative skills for cross-stack stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong software engineering skills beyond scripting.

Workplace & Contract

This position follows a hybrid office schedule, with on-site work Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. An employment contract (UoP) is offered in Poland.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Gross base salary between 23,000 and 33,000 PLN per month under a UoP contract.
