Responsibilities - Participate in requirements-gathering sessions with business users to understand project needs. - Lead analysis, solution design, and planning activities within the engineering team. - Implement and rigorously test software changes; participate in code reviews and assist in UAT and releases. - Improve existing stacks and develop new functionalities in a fast-paced environment. - Contribute to event-driven and microservices architectures within distributed systems. - Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders. - Maintain high-quality documentation and ensure adherence to best practices. - Engage in continuous-improvement initiatives and process optimizations. Requirements - 4+ years of proven Java development experience within financial or similarly complex domains. - Proficiency in Java, Spring, Hibernate, DB2, Spring Boot, and RESTful API design. - Experience with Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, Kafka Streams, and Kafka Connect. - Knowledge of MongoDB and Spring Data MongoDB. - Familiarity with Docker, Maven, Git, and CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab CI. - Solid understanding of event-driven/microservices architectures and distributed systems. - Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a strong work ethic. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with IBM MQ/JMS and infrastructure as code. - Knowledge of financial messaging standards, including ISO 20022, SWIFT, CBPR+, and FIN. - Python scripting experience and experience in financial services, payments, or banking technology.
