Xometry is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join the Partner Ecosystems team. This team builds the high-performance integration layer that embeds Xometry's AI-native marketplace directly into leading CAD and PLM platforms.
You will be the primary technical architect for a landmark partnership with a major enterprise partner. The role focuses on extracting Xometry's core AI engines (DFM and IQE) and embedding them into partner ecosystems to enable real-time manufacturability and pricing feedback on native 3D geometry.
This role requires a hybrid schedule (3 days a week) at the North Bethesda, MD or Waltham, MA office location.
How You'll Contribute
- Lead the discovery, architectural design, and adoption of the flagship embedded partner integration
- Introduce best practices for handling native 3D geometry data flows
- Ensure systems are extensible, scalable, and capable of delivering real-time AI insights
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate development of geometry-processing pipelines
- Collaborate with the Data Science team to ensure the IQE engine performs with sub-second latency
- Define and promote AI fluency standards across engineering teams
- Solve complex issues involving enterprise software integration and secure transaction workflows
- Lead cross-team decision-making and execute multi-quarter roadmaps
- Act as the primary technical contact for partner engineering teams
- Own reliability and security of integration microservices
