Responsibilities
- Development and management of all project documentation
- Schedule and lead project hand-off meetings to ensure important job information is gathered before proceeding into construction phase
- Prepare construction budget by studying plans and specifications and identifying and projecting costs for each scope/item/division
- Obtain appropriate permits
- Finalize Schedule of Values for owner billing
- Build and actively manage the project schedule with the field supervisors
- Prepare electronic timesheets to match cost code breakdown
- Ensure project financial success through schedule and budget management
- Develop and write subcontracts and purchase orders
- Contractually manage subcontractors
- Prepare and update material status logs
- Collect and organize submittals and product samples
- Prepare productivity tracking logs and update daily
- Prepare and review weld reports and inspection reports
- Create and distribute RFIs for project clarification
- Prepare monthly project billing and invoices
- Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Negotiate and formalize project scope changes
- Provide Notices of Delay to document schedule impacts
- Collaborate with Assistant Project Managers and Superintendents
- Hire field personnel and coordinate onboarding
- Ensure client satisfaction while balancing scope, time, and cost
- Review time sheets and submit to payroll
- Conduct employee reviews
- Manage safety, quality, and productivity of the project
- Prepare and review safety and quality incident reports
- Approve invoices in accounting software weekly
- Ensure jobsite remains clean and orderly
Qualifications
- Previous work experience in project management or BS/BA degree in Building Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification considered an asset
- Design/Build experience considered an asset
- OSHA 30, First Aid and CPR Training
- Experience managing budgets for construction projects
- Knowledge of construction materials and equipment
