We are currently seeking a full-time Health and Safety Professional for one of our Nashville, TN, Pensacola, FL, Titusville, FL, Jacksonville, FL, or Tampa, FL offices. This opportunity supports a variety of projects for diverse clients in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for a health and safety professional who is technically strong, client-focused, and comfortable working in both field and office settings. This role involves evaluating workplace hazards, interpreting regulatory requirements, writing technical documents, developing training materials, and delivering practical recommendations.
Travel is a required part of this position, including overnight travel and occasional schedule flexibility based on client needs. Utility experience is strongly preferred, including experience with electric, water, wastewater, gas, power generation, transmission, distribution, or contractors supporting utility operations. Experience with electrical safety topics such as NFPA 70E, NESC, lockout/tagout, energized work, arc flash, or utility field operations is highly desirable.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supporting health and safety projects for utility, industrial, municipal, and infrastructure clients.
- Conducting field assessments, audits, gap analyses, hazard assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Developing, reviewing, and updating written health and safety programs, policies, procedures, technical reports, and client deliverables.
- Preparing presentations, training materials, handouts, and other client-facing resources.
- Delivering health and safety training to employees, supervisors, contractors, and leadership teams.
- Interpreting OSHA requirements and other applicable standards and translating them into practical work practices.
- Supporting risk assessments, corrective action development, and implementation planning.
- Collaborating directly with clients to understand operational needs, constraints, and safety challenges.
- Managing assigned tasks independently, including organizing workload, meeting deadlines, and communicating project status.
- Traveling to client sites as required.
Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in health and safety, EHS consulting, utility operations, industrial safety, construction safety, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and practical safety program implementation.
- Experience developing written safety programs, procedures, training content, reports, or similar technical documents.
- Comfort presenting information and delivering training to groups with varying levels of safety knowledge.
