About GO Tutor Corps

The mission of the GO Tutor Corps (GO) is to provide students with access to a quality education through high-dosage tutoring. We recruit, train, and support a corps of young adults who are placed in partner schools where they intensively tutor students as part of a year of service through the federal AmeriCorps program. Fellows instruct, mentor, and support students across multiple states.

Position Summary

GO is seeking a highly organized and proactive Grants and Operations Manager to oversee end-to-end onboarding and compliance for 100+ Fellows and to support grants compliance across its funding portfolio, including AmeriCorps. This role requires strong ownership of processes, meticulous documentation, and proactive issue resolution. Prior AmeriCorps experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Fellow Onboarding and Project Management (50%)

  • Manage operational and logistical onboarding for 100+ Fellows
  • Track deadlines and follow up to ensure completion of requirements
  • Coordinate with HR and program teams
  • Manage background checks and eGrants enrollment
  • Lead Welcome to AmeriCorps Pre-Service orientation
  • Support reference checks, compliance training, and time tracking
  • Maintain Fellow files and oversee exit processes

Grants Compliance (25%)

  • Monitor grant award requirements and federal guidance
  • Flag compliance considerations for program and finance teams
  • Maintain documentation and reporting systems
  • Support relationships with AmeriCorps commissions and program officers
  • Escalate compliance questions to leadership

Special Projects (25%)

  • Research new program models such as registered apprenticeship credentials
  • Coordinate national service day programming
  • Participate in monthly Fellow development days
  • Contribute to the annual GO Forum

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of professional experience
  • At least 1 year AmeriCorps service or direct program experience
  • Experience managing complex, multi-step processes
  • Ability to quickly learn systems such as eGrants and AmericaLearns

Compensation

Annual salary: $80,000–$85,000
