About the role

Reporting to the Beekeeping Territory Lead, the Urban Beekeeper manages a selection of client accounts and oversees honeybee and related services. This is a 40-hour per week position in accordance with company policies.

What you'll do as an Urban Beekeeper

Client Experience

  • Follow standard operating procedures to ensure high quality service and client experience.
  • Build relationships with businesses, schools and other organizations in person and online using company platforms.
  • Manage client accounts, acting as main point of contact including onboarding, communications, engagement and feedback.
  • Manage client projects across services: honey beehives, hotels for bees and pollinator-friendly gardens, including installation, routine maintenance, data collection, pest and parasite control, and facilitating educational workshops.
  • Represent the organization’s mission by sharing your passion with clients, media and the public.

City expansion

  • Support management of facilities including beehive yards, warehouse, workspace and vehicles.
  • Coordinate logistics including harvest, extraction, data collection and product fulfillment.
  • Contribute to city project sales including canvassing, site feasibility visits and client referrals.
  • Be aware of internal sales strategies.
  • Meet goals set by the Beekeeping Team Manager and Lead Beekeeper.
  • Communicate regularly for planning, support and problem-solving.
  • Handle miscellaneous clerical tasks and responsibilities.
  • Respect the city budget.

Beekeeping & Urban Greening

  • Maintain multiple honey beehives at client sites and in yards on a cycle basis.
  • Adhere to best practices including record-keeping to support bee health.
  • Contribute to development of wild bee and urban greening expertise.
  • Drive regularly to client sites, yards, equipment and suppliers.
  • Organize, clean and maintain equipment, supplies and storage space.
  • Attend internal training sessions to build skills and knowledge.

What we are looking for
