We are looking for local beekeepers to partner with us and share the world of bees with engaged communities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain honey bee hives at client sites on a three-week service cycle.
- Install new hives and related equipment at client locations.
- Conduct routine hive inspections and maintenance.
- Manage complete honey harvest (target 30 pounds per hive per season) and delivery.
- Collect samples and field data to monitor hive health and environmental conditions.
- Complete accurate record-keeping and service reports using digital tools.
- Perform pest and parasite monitoring and treatment as required.
- Facilitate educational workshops and engage the public on beekeeping and biodiversity topics.
- Travel regularly to client sites, apiary yards, equipment depots, and suppliers.
- Engage with clients and explain services including beehives, beehomes, and biodiversity data collection.
- Complete digital records and service reports using tools (e.g., Zuper).

This is a 40-hour per week position in accordance with company policies. What you'll do as an Urban Beekeeper: Client Experience - Follow standard operating procedures to ensure high quality service and client experience. - Build relationships with businesses, schools and other organizations in person and online using company platforms. - Manage client accounts, acting as main point of contact including onboarding, communications, engagement and feedback. - Manage client projects across services: honey beehives, hotels for bees and pollinator-friendly gardens, including installation, routine maintenance, data collection, pest and parasite control, and facilitating educational workshops. - Represent the organization’s mission by sharing your passion with clients, media and the public.
