About the role

Join the Notifications Team, a high-impact Growth team focused on driving retention and engagement. Notifications are a key lever for top-line impact, and continued investment in this area aims to make them more effective, engaging, and valuable to learners.

You will own product strategy and execution across a broad set of opportunities, including identifying new notification types, improving opt-in and reach, and exploring channels such as email and other alternatives to re-engage users.

This is a highly cross-functional role spanning product, engineering, data science, ML/AI, design, and product writing. You will develop new ideas, run fast experiments, and translate learnings into product strategy that helps learners build lasting habits.

Responsibilities

  • Own product strategy and execution for a major notifications surface
  • Drive the roadmap across workstreams including new notification types, opt-in and reach, email, and alternative channels
  • Lead features through full lifecycle: ideation, prioritization, specification, development, launch, analysis, and iteration
  • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, ML/AI partners, writers, and designers
  • Use experimentation and product intuition to validate ideas and inform strategy
  • Improve metrics such as conversion, click-through rate, and opt-in
  • Explore new formats, channels, and UX patterns for personalized engagement
  • Partner with leadership to shape team direction

Requirements

  • Experience as a Product Manager on a consumer mobile product
  • Experience with notifications or lifecycle messaging systems
  • Ownership of product strategy and execution end-to-end
  • Experience improving notification performance (opt-in, reach, targeting, channels)
  • Experience with personalized or ML-driven messaging systems
  • Strong analytical and experimentation skills
  • Experience building and executing product roadmaps
  • Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, data science, ML/AI, and design
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Design, Psychology, or equivalent

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree in relevant field
  • Experience with high-frequency consumer engagement products
  • Experience with channels beyond push notifications such as email or Live Activities

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is supplemented by equity compensation. Salary range: $177,700—$240,400 USD. Benefits support employees' holistic well-being.
