Oracle integration Cloud (OIC) Developer

Mid • On-site

Arlington, VA

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Developer to design and implement secure REST-based integrations between an on-premises Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.2.14 environment and an external third-party system. The role focuses on leveraging OIC as the central integration platform to enable bidirectional communication, including transaction processing (e.g., purchase orders and invoices), financial data lookups, and reference/master data exchanges (e.g., vendor and accounting data). You will apply OIC best practices to build robust, scalable integrations using synchronous and asynchronous REST services with JSON payloads and OAuth 2.0 security.

This is a hands-on role emphasizing OIC architecture, development, and optimization, with collaboration alongside in-house EBS experts for data handling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop REST service interfaces in OIC, including hosted services for inbound calls and outbound integrations with external systems.
  • Implement secure authentication using OAuth 2.0 for all REST endpoints.
  • Build and configure OIC integrations handling JSON payloads for synchronous (real-time) and asynchronous (event-driven) flows.
  • Collaborate with PL/SQL developers to define integration points for EBS data extraction and transformation.
  • Apply OIC best practices for error handling, monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and deployment of OIC artifacts, including integration flows, adapters, and mappings.
  • Document integration designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Stay current with OIC updates and recommend enhancements aligned with evolving business needs (e.g., Oracle 19c to 23AI upgrades).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), building REST service integrations.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing REST APIs with JSON payloads and OAuth 2.0 authentication.
  • Strong understanding of synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns in hybrid environments.
  • Experience with OIC adapters (REST Adapter, Database Adapter) and integration styles (orchestrated flows, schedules, events).
  • Familiarity with API management, fault tolerance, and scalability best practices in OIC.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), particularly financial modules.
  • Knowledge of PL/SQL and Oracle databases (19c/23AI on Linux).
  • Exposure to ERP/CRM integrations via REST.
  • Oracle Integration Cloud or related middleware certification.
  • Experience supporting federal agencies.

Security & Eligibility Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance.
  • Ability to pass a federal background investigation.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
