What You'll Be Doing

  • Execute testing and validation activities across PC and cloud gaming platforms.
  • Perform system-level testing on Windows-based hardware and software environments.
  • Identify, reproduce, troubleshoot, and document defects with clear and detailed bug reports.
  • Analyze logs, system behavior, and test results to support root-cause investigations.
  • Validate software, drivers, firmware, and platform functionality.
  • Review test plans and contribute to test automation efforts where applicable.
  • Create and distribute test reports to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve product quality and user experience.

What We Need to See

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in QA, validation, testing, or a related engineering role.
  • Strong experience working within Windows operating system environments.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting software and hardware issues at the system level.
  • Experience testing device drivers, firmware, or platform-level functionality.
  • Proficiency with scripting or automation using Python.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently investigate complex technical issues.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Passion for product quality and finding hard-to-reproduce issues.
  • Experience with Windows debugging tools and log analysis (WinDbg).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with hardware validation, platform testing, or PC system integration.
  • Knowledge of GPU technologies, graphics systems, or gaming platforms.
  • Experience supporting automation frameworks and test infrastructure.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development, debugging, or test workflows.

Engagement Overview

Location: Redmond, WA (Onsite 5 days per week).

Duration: 6-month W-2 contract.

Pay Rate: $55–$75/hour, depending on experience, education, skills, and location.
