Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies manufacture rockets, satellites, jets, and ships faster and more cost-effectively by combining advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing. The company is expanding with a new 290,000-square-foot facility and scaling its FactoryOS, automation products, and robotic systems.

The Role

Candidates may work across multiple internal products and teams:

  • Flow: FactoryOS platform that models, manages, and automates a complex network of factories.
  • Copilot: Manufacturing automation products that accelerate quoting, CAM programming, and CMM programming.
  • Factory Automation: Robotic cells and the software that controls them.

The role focuses on redefining manufacturing software, from distributed systems to automation infrastructure, across a broad set of backend services and applications.

What You’ll Do

  • Scope, architect, implement, and deploy critical backend services across multiple product verticals.
  • Design and maintain reliable, scalable, and high-performance APIs and systems in a complex production environment.
  • Engage in product discovery with manufacturing and software experts to define and improve systems.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and operators.

What We’re Looking For

  • Expertise in modern backend technologies with deep understanding of distributed systems, service architecture, data modeling, and scalable infrastructure design.
  • Strong ability to write high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Experience designing and implementing APIs (REST and gRPC).
  • Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining backend and full-stack applications using modern cloud or containerized stacks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick iteration cycles.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Experience with Go, Python, C#, or C++.
  • Background in high-performance, reliable, or real-time systems.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, robotics, automation, manufacturing systems, or 3D environments.
  • Experience implementing and scaling production systems in complex environments.

Compensation

Target salary range: $120,000 - $250,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
