AGE Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer (Palo Alto) to support a DoD program. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, high-performance network infrastructures that comply with DoD cybersecurity standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of Palo Alto Networks technologies, combined with experience in mission-critical defense environments.
This position is on-site in Rosslyn, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, and manage Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, and related security infrastructure
- Implement and maintain secure network architectures in accordance with DoD standards
- Conduct network performance monitoring, capacity planning, and optimization
- Develop and maintain detailed network diagrams, documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support vulnerability assessments and remediation activities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Five (5) years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years focused on Palo Alto firewalls
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification
- Experience configuring, managing, and optimizing Palo Alto Firewalls directly and via Panorama
- Understanding of Palo Alto features such as App-ID, User-ID, URL filtering, GlobalProtect VPN, and threat prevention
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs)
- Familiarity with DoD security and compliance frameworks
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
The projected salary range for this position is $150,000+ annually. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including years of relevant experience, active security clearance level, certifications, technical skillset, contract requirements, and overall qualifications.
