Senior Telecommunications Network Engineer

AGE Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Telecommunication Network Engineer who specializes in Local Area Networks (LAN) design and engineering. Candidate must have experience managing the evaluation and cost estimation of voice and data LAN services from telecommunications carriers, designing access and backbone networks using carrier services, and/or managing the analysis and design of wireless voice and/or data networks.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide technical and administrative direction for telecommunications network design, implementation, and operations tasks.
  • Review work products for correctness and adherence to design concepts and user standards.
  • Recommend approval of major network installations.
  • Prepare milestone status reports and deliver presentations on network progress.
  • Analyze and develop telecommunications networks supporting voice, data, video, and wireless services.
  • Develop designs and plans for installation and maintenance from project inception to conclusion.
  • Define system requirements and network specifications.
  • Coordinate with information system professionals to ensure proper implementation.
  • Develop alternative solutions and backup plans with functional users.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

Experience:

  • Five (5) years relevant experience.
  • Experience with complex telecommunications network design, implementation, and analysis.
  • Experience in analysis and design of voice, LAN data, wireless networks, and/or network management systems.
  • Experience evaluating and cost estimating carrier voice and data LAN services and designing access/backbone networks.

Certifications:

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g., Security+CE).
  • Valid Computing Environment certification (e.g., CCNP, CCWP, or relevant Cisco certifications).

Citizenship and Clearance:

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance required.

Education:

  • High School Diploma.

This is a remote role requiring approximately 60% travel both CONUS and OCONUS. Candidates must have a valid US Passport, or the ability to obtain one quickly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DoD/DLA Experience.

Work Environment and Physical Demand:

  • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs over your head.
  • Ability to bend and move around equipment racks.
  • Valid driver's license.
