Senior Business Consultant – IBOR

Summary: This role focuses on delivering IBOR (Investment Book of Record) solutions for a leading global financial technology firm to enhance real-time investment decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of major workstreams within large-scale IBOR implementation projects.

• Analyze and understand client requirements, operational models, and end-to-end lifecycle processes of financial instruments.

• Design and outline optimal system and process solutions supporting IBOR, including:

  • Reconciliation

  • Settlement

  • Corporate Actions

  • Cash & Securities Processing

  • Collateral Management

• Act as a primary point of contact for clients on all IBOR-related topics within the project.

• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to drive delivery and manage dependencies.

• Prepare high-quality business and functional requirement specifications, including input for future platform or product enhancements.

• Mentor and support junior consultants, contributing to knowledge transfer and team development.

• Identify opportunities to deliver additional value-added services beyond the initial project scope.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of implementation methodologies, standards, and best practices.

• Participate in international knowledge sharing and cross-project collaboration.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline.

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Consultant in Banking, Asset Management, Insurance, or Financial Services Consulting.

• Strong expertise in trade processing and/or valuation of financial instruments.

• Experience in back-office or middle-office investment operations.

• Familiarity with investment management systems or financial software implementations.

• Prior experience with enterprise IBOR or investment platforms.

• Excellent communication skills in English.
