We are currently looking for a Guidewire PolicyCenter Config Developer to strengthen our PolicyCenter configuration and product modeling capabilities. This role focuses on designing and implementing rating logic, rate books, and underwriting workflows, while collaborating closely with actuarial and underwriting teams.
What you will do:
Product & Rating Configuration
Design and implement rating logic, rate books, and pricing algorithms within Guidewire PolicyCenter.
Translate actuarial and underwriting requirements into configurable rating engines, ensuring accuracy, performance, and compliance.
Product Modeling
Configure and maintain insurance products, including coverages, modifiers, tiers, conditions, and eligibility rules.
Develop and update business rules supporting quoting, rating, binding, issuing, and renewal processes.
Application Configuration
Configure PCF (Page Configuration Format) screens, UI components, workflows, and validation rules.
Enhance PolicyCenter functionality using Gosu and Guidewire configuration patterns.
Quality, Collaboration & Support
Ensure accuracy, auditability, and performance of premium calculations.
Collaborate with Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, QA, and architecture teams in a multi-vendor environment.
Participate in code reviews, functional testing, and implementation planning.
Create and maintain technical documentation, contributing to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
What we are looking for:
Experience & Technical Skills
Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration.
Practical experience with rating engine, rate books, pricing logic, or product modeling.
Strong understanding of Gosu or Java, Guidewire Configuration Framework, PCF, XML, and data models.
Good understanding of P&C insurance processes, especially rating and underwriting workflows.
Nice to have:
Exposure to Guidewire integration concepts (SOAP/REST).
Guidewire certifications (PolicyCenter, Configuration, Rating).
Experience working in Agile environments.
Previous work in multi-vendor or enterprise insurance organizations.
