Description

Provides patient care within regulatory requirements and performs non-patient tasks to support the Physical Therapy department and staff. Cleans and sets up patient treatment areas, moves patients as needed, and completes clerical duties; may also perform patient scheduling and check-in/out. Builds trust with patients and families through attentive monitoring, competent assessment, and effective communication, while adhering to privacy and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Clean and set up the patient treatment area

• Move patients

• Perform clerical tasks

• Assist with more complicated administrative functions (patient scheduling, patient check-in/out)

• Train and mentor colleagues

• Support privacy and safety compliance with local/state/federal regulations

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED

• BLS (Basic Life Support – Healthcare Provider)

• 2 years of recent relevant experience

• Ability to work in a demanding environment and manage multiple priorities within expected timelines

• Computer and required technology proficiency

• Professional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

• Conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service

• Ability to retain and apply new knowledge and skills

• Ability to complete applicable work assignments independently

• Ability to teach/educate others and develop training/competency assessment materials

• Ability to assess competencies

• Complex problem solving; analyze data/information from multiple sources

• Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to develop solutions

$28.41 to $39.77 per hour (based on primary work location and candidate factors such as experience, education, skills, and certifications).
