Description

Full-time locum coverage is needed in Central Georgia starting December 18 due to the loss of three pathologists mid-December. Frozen sections are anticipated as an initial priority, with daily case sign-out volume handled per day as requested. You may work as a solo pathologist while collaborating with a neighboring hospital; overflow cases go to a sister hospital. Epic EMR is used.

Responsibilities

• Interpret cases (including frozen sections as the first responsibility)

• Provide daily sign-out for as many cases as possible per day

• Support coverage as needed, including potential call coverage

• Coordinate with the neighboring hospital and route overflow cases appropriately

Requirements

• Active board certification

• Active Georgia medical license

• Availability for full-time Monday–Friday coverage starting December 18

• Experience/comfort with frozen section reading
