Description

You’ll join a growing surgical program and maintain a broad General Surgery practice while developing a meaningful vascular component. The case mix is approximately 40% vascular and 60% general surgery, with close collaboration with an established cardiovascular team. The current surgeon is also open to mentoring an incoming surgeon, making this a strong fit for early-career physicians or recent General Surgery residency graduates with substantial vascular exposure.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with an established cardiovascular team
• Manage both vascular and general surgical cases
• Collaborate with the organization’s cardiovascular team and care network
• Participate in shared on-call coverage (1:4)
• Opportunity to practice at a new ambulatory surgery center
• Opportunity to collaborate with the organization’s Cancer Center

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Strong vascular surgery training and procedural experience
• Ability to manage both vascular and general surgical cases
• Eligibility for an unrestricted Wisconsin medical license
• Strong clinical judgment and surgical skills
• Interest in working closely with an established cardiovascular team
• Collaborative, patient-centered approach
