Description

Ongoing locum tenens Hospitalist coverage in California, supporting adult general hospital medicine with day rounder and night needs. The facility provides in-house staffing (providers are never solo; minimum 3 physicians in-house overnight) and supports code response with a dedicated code team. Scheduling preference is blocks of 5–7 consecutive days rather than single shifts.

Responsibilities

• Cover shifts as a day rounder, day admitter, swing physician, or nocturnist

• Provide inpatient care and handle admissions/triage per shift role

• Support emergency code response (code team support provided)

Requirements

• Board Certified OR Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

• Active California state license

• Active BLS and ACLS certifications

• 2+ years of hospitalist experience required for night coverage

• Clean malpractice history (closed cases reviewed case-by-case)

• Flu and COVID vaccination requirements pending confirmation
