Description

You will work on a data engineering project within a large international financial organization, combining requirements analysis with hands-on data engineering and analytics. The role focuses on translating business needs into scalable, data-driven solutions through close collaboration with Product Owners, business stakeholders, developers, and test engineers.

Responsibilities

• Gather, clarify, and document functional and non-functional requirements
• Translate business needs into clear implementation specifications
• Collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, developers, and test engineers
• Design and develop data models, mappings, and data-intensive solutions
• Design and support near real-time data pipelines
• Perform quantitative analysis on complex and distributed datasets
• Identify data-related issues, explain business impact, and recommend solutions
• Contribute to solution design, maintainability, and application architecture
• Own requirements documentation, including use cases
• Promote data quality, analytical best practices, and continuous improvement across teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in IT/data-related roles
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt
• Very good knowledge of SQL, including Snowflake SQL and MS SQL
• Experience in data modeling, data mapping, and data pipelines
• Experience gathering and translating business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications
• Ability to combine technical data expertise with strong understanding of business needs
• Understanding of DDD, event sourcing, and microservices
• Experience or practical familiarity with AI/LLM-based tools such as Copilot or agentic solutions
• Previous experience in banking or financial services
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
