Description

The Junior Web Developer will support the maintenance, content updates, cleanup, and ongoing evolution of existing websites while assisting with development of a new unified web platform. You’ll partner with the Senior Web Developer to keep websites stable, well-structured, secure, and performance-driven, including ongoing technical SEO and structured data support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update existing company and partner websites

• Clean, standardize, and improve semantic HTML across blog and content pages

• Ensure consistency and quality of markup and page structure

• Implement URL updates, redirects, and structural improvements

• Support preparation of legacy content for platform migration

• Extract, organize, and structure data from websites and databases

• Support backend content and reporting tasks

• Normalize data for unified platform publishing

• Contribute to scalable content models and structured data approaches

• Troubleshoot and debug frontend and backend issues

• Apply best practices for performance, accessibility, SEO, and security

• Assist with integrations involving third-party APIs and external services

• Read, understand, and enhance existing codebases

• Collaborate remotely with the Senior Web Developer; communicate blockers and progress

• Manage assigned tasks independently and meet delivery timelines

• Improve publishing workflows and site performance

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Web Development, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR equivalent practical experience

• Working knowledge of semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals

• Familiarity with at least one programming language (JavaScript, PHP, Python, or C#)

• Basic understanding of server-rendered websites and web architecture

• Familiarity with URL parameters, redirects, and content structure concepts

• Some experience working with databases or structured data

• Ability to read and improve existing code

• Comfortable working independently in a remote team environment

• Strong learning agility and adaptability
