Description

Performs intensive data analysis to inspect, cleanse, transform, and model data, and to resolve issues related to data completeness and quality. Analyzes ETL components in Informatica PowerCenter to determine existing mapping logic from source to target, then creates ETL mapping rules and visual documentation using Informatica and IBM InfoSphere DataStage. Creates complex SQL queries to profile data and verify mapping accuracy in current data warehousing models, and automates/testing for frontend and XML/API/web service calls.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, cleanse, transform, and model data

• Resolve completeness and data-quality issues

• Analyze Informatica PowerCenter ETL components and mapping logic (source to target)

• Create ETL data mapping rules and visual documents using Informatica and IBM InfoSphere DataStage

• Write complex SQL queries and use Teradata SQL Assistant for data profiling and mapping accuracy checks

• Automate frontend tools using UFT (QTP) / Selenium

• Mock and test XML/API/OOS/web service calls using SOAP UI / IBM Rational Tester

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering

• 5 years of experience performing the duties listed above
