Description

Design, develop, test, implement, and support complex enterprise web applications for employees, business partners, and citizens. Serve as a technical leader within the Web Systems team, combining hands-on frontend development with mentoring and code review while leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and emerging generative AI to improve quality, documentation, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build and support enterprise web applications using JavaScript, React, Vue.js, HTML, CSS, and Drupal CMS
• Use AI-assisted development tools in the daily software development lifecycle to accelerate coding and streamline delivery
• Provide technical leadership and guidance through code reviews, architectural discussions, and development standards
• Gather requirements with stakeholders and translate business needs into user-centered web solutions
• Design and implement solutions using Drupal, Azure-hosted services, APIs, workflow automation, and modern cloud technologies
• Improve software quality using AI-powered tools for automated testing, code analysis, accessibility validation, troubleshooting, and documentation generation
• Pilot and champion emerging AI technologies and development frameworks
• Ensure applications meet accessibility, security, performance, maintainability, and responsive UX standards across browsers and devices
• Lead troubleshooting, incident response, and production support for critical web applications (including on-call/after-hours as needed)
• Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation strategies, and AI-assisted best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an IT-related field with 4 years of progressive experience in business application consulting or development; OR
• Associate degree in computer science or an IT-related field with 5 years of progressive experience in business application consulting or development; OR
• High school/GED with 8 years of experience in business application consulting or development; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Hands-on experience building complex web applications with modern frontend technologies
• Ability to provide technical leadership via code reviews, architectural discussions, and development standards
• Experience ensuring accessibility, security, performance, maintainability, and responsive UX compliance
• Experience participating in troubleshooting, incident response, and production support activities
