Description

Hands-on SDET role building and scaling automated test frameworks for native iOS/Android apps, web UI, and physical point-of-sale hardware. You will shift testing left by integrating automated coverage into CI/CD pipelines, expanding REST API tests and mock services, and automating complex end-to-end user journeys. You will also debug test failures with systematic test design, perform root-cause analysis (RCA), and use AI tools to accelerate test development.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and scale automated testing frameworks across native mobile, web UI, and POS device hardware

• Develop and maintain UI and functional test suites to improve release velocity and reliability

• Expand REST API automated test suites and mock services integrated into CI/CD pipelines

• Collaborate with Product Owners and Software Engineers to define acceptance criteria early and embed test coverage into sprint deliverables

• Debug complex platform issues, perform RCA on test failures, and track quality metrics using Jira and Confluence

• Use AI tools to refactor framework code and generate synthetic test data

• Provide technical feedback to improve merchant/consumer experience and UX workflows

Requirements

• 5+ years professional experience in Software QA Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Software Development

• 2+ years hands-on programming in Java, TypeScript, or Python

• 2+ years building/maintaining/executing automated UI and API test frameworks

• Proven REST API testing experience (Postman, HTTP, JSON) and ability to write SQL for verification

• Experience testing across UI, service/API, and back-end databases

• Tooling proficiency with Jira, Confluence, ALM, or MTM

• Valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization

Salary Range

$140,000.00 - $210,000.00 (Sunnyvale, California; other states may differ)
