Description

As an SDET on the Find My team, you will own test strategy and build automation across the stack—backend services and web—for features used by hundreds of millions of users. You will partner with engineers to shift testing left, integrate reliable automation into CI/CD pipelines, and raise the overall quality bar. You will also use modern AI tooling (e.g., GenAI and AI-assisted coding/testing tools) to accelerate test authoring, triage, and coverage with appropriate human verification.

Responsibilities

• Own test strategy across backend/API and web

• Build and maintain scalable automated test suites

• Shift testing left with engineers

• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines

• Design test plans, assess risk, file defects, and report test results

• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate testing while applying judgment on where human verification is required

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering/testing with a strong automation focus

• Hands-on automation experience across backend/API and web

• Proficiency in an object-oriented language (Java, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, or equivalent)

• Experience automating API/microservice testing (unit, component, integration, contract tests) and working with REST/JSON

• Experience with web UI automation (Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress)

• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and the test pyramid

• Experience designing test plans, assessing risk, filing defects, and reporting test results

• Experience building and maintaining automated test suites that scale

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

• Comfortable using AI/GenAI-assisted development and testing tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot)

• Strong written and verbal communication
