Description

You will lead customer-facing engagements using Slack’s newest AI and agentic capabilities to design, configure, prototype, validate, and hand off working proofs. Working from discovery and experience design through prototyping and validation, you will build proofs that demonstrate technical feasibility and business value, then capture evidence to inform Product and Engineering. The role does not own full customer implementations, ongoing production engineering, or ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Lead focused engagements from business/technical discovery through solution design, configuration, integration planning, validation, enablement, and handoff

• Configure Slack solutions using workflows, AI features, and approved connectors; identify where future integrations or additional engineering add value

• Design Slack-first solutions connecting AI across enterprise tools (including Salesforce, Tableau, and Google Workspace)

• Advise executives and stakeholders in terms of business outcomes; build trusted relationships with senior leaders

• Create prompts, skills, demonstrations, and usage guidance to validate a proof and enable limited activation before handoff

• Capture use cases, user evidence, AI behavior, technical constraints, and product gaps; synthesize recurring patterns and inform product direction

• Perform technical discovery and diagnosis across workflows, systems, data sources, integrations, permissions, and dependencies; troubleshoot root causes

• Demonstrate value via narratives and technical tradeoffs supported by working demos

• Run strategic use case workshops with account teams and connect field feedback to Product

• Develop reusable playbooks, solution patterns, and guidance based on engagement learnings

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in solutions engineering, technical consulting, solution implementation, solution architecture, technical product delivery, or another customer-facing delivery role

• Demonstrated experience leading discovery, solution design, transformation, or advisory engagements with senior stakeholders

• Strong knowledge of Slack including workflows, integrations, administration, security, and evolving AI capabilities

• Familiarity with Salesforce and Tableau and how enterprise teams use them to access data and business workflows

• Practical understanding of applied AI and agentic systems: prompting, grounding, retrieval, tool use, evaluation, guardrails, and failure modes

• Understanding of the product lifecycle from discovery/design to configuration, testing, release, adoption, and feedback

• Working knowledge of APIs, MCP, integration patterns, identity, data access, permission models, and enterprise security

• Executive presence and ability to communicate technical concepts, tradeoffs, and recommendations clearly

• Ability to synthesize learnings into reusable patterns, stories, and guidance

• Passion for Slack, applied AI, agentic technology, and the future of work

• Ability to travel ~25% of the time

• Typical base salary range: $197,300–$260,100 annually; select San Francisco and New York City metro cities: $237,700–$285,800 annually (base salary only, not including bonus/incentives/equity/benefits where applicable)
