Description

You will be part of a team delivering and supporting enterprise database solutions for clients in the financial sector. The role ensures dependable, high-performing database environments through daily operations and larger initiatives, including cloud initiatives, while collaborating with other engineers to design, maintain, and improve systems critical to business continuity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with DB engineers and consultants on enterprise solutions for financial-sector clients

• Support both RUN operations and large-scale project activities

• Perform database administration, including maintenance and optimization

• Manage backup and restore to ensure data integrity

• Monitor and improve database performance and tuning

• Work with clustered high-availability systems

• Cooperate with cross-functional teams on cloud transformation projects

• Contribute to ongoing improvements of database environments

Requirements

• Experience with MSSQL/PostgreSQL administration

• Understanding of backup, restore, and performance tuning practices

• Experience with high-availability clustered systems

• Strong understanding of database maintenance and administration

• Confident English communication (French is an advantage)

• Efficient task management and organization

• Proactive mindset and willingness to learn

• Exposure to other database engines (e.g., MongoDB, Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, DB2), Windows Servers/virtualization, or network topics
