Description

Join the Accessories Product Design team to drive new product introduction from architectural phase through production ramping. You will interface with multiple system teams and design cable solutions that balance functionality with size, reliability, cost, cosmetics, and environmental goals.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering requirement documents
• Design cables and assemblies to meet product and cross-functional requirements (Industrial Design, Signal Integrity, Reliability, Safety, Cosmetic, Functional, and others)
• Review and support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) documentation
• Support module and system-level builds
• Review test results and drive failure analysis and corrective action support
• Travel approximately 5–10% to Asia

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 7+ years of mechanical design experience
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and creating 2D drawings
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including presenting technical data to multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience with designing injection/compression molded parts and/or stamped parts and/or deep draw metal parts
