Description

Lead research that advances understanding of how people interact with software experiences and emerging AI capabilities. Define research strategies, run rigorous qualitative/quantitative/mixed-method studies, and translate behavioral insights into actionable recommendations influencing product direction and experience quality.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead human-centered research strategies across multiple software and AI-powered experiences
• Design and execute qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method studies (controlled experiments, surveys, usability evaluations, interviews, longitudinal studies, EMA)
• Apply experimental design and appropriate statistical techniques to evaluate user behavior, perceptions, expectations, and experience quality
• Lead research across the development lifecycle: user needs research → prototype evaluation → feature refinement → product quality assessment
• Develop human-centered evaluation frameworks, experience metrics, and success criteria for usability, usefulness, reliability, and perceived quality
• Collaborate with engineering, design, product marketing, data science, and AI/ML modeling teams to align research objectives with product and technical priorities
• Integrate qualitative insights, self-reported measures, experimental data, and behavioral telemetry
• Communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and executives
• Provide technical and methodological leadership and mentor other researchers
