Description

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade healthcare integration applications using C# and modern .NET. Build and support healthcare EDI transaction processing solutions, including implementation, validation, troubleshooting, and mapping of X12 transactions (837, 835, 834, 270/271, 276/277). Ensure HIPAA compliance, provide production support, and optimize performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications in C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core/.NET 6+
• Develop and support healthcare EDI transaction processing solutions
• Implement, validate, and troubleshoot EDI X12 transactions (837, 835, 834, 270/271, 276/277)
• Build and maintain APIs, integration services, and backend processing systems
• Develop EDI mapping, transformation, validation, and error-handling workflows
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and protect PHI
• Collaborate with business analysts, healthcare clients, and implementation teams to gather requirements
• Monitor production integrations and resolve EDI-related issues
• Optimize system performance and scalability
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support
• Create technical documentation and support operational procedures

Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience
• Strong expertise in C# and .NET Framework and/or .NET Core/.NET 6+
• Web API and RESTful services experience
• SQL Server expertise, including database optimization
• Deep understanding of healthcare EDI standards
• Hands-on experience with X12 EDI transactions: 837, 835, 834, 270/271, 276/277
• Experience with EDI validation and processing, mapping and transformation
• Ability to troubleshoot production EDI transactions and claim processing issues
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and healthcare compliance requirements
• Healthcare domain knowledge: HIPAA regulations, PHI, healthcare claims lifecycle, eligibility and enrollment processes, and revenue cycle management concepts
