Description

Design and build .NET 8 microservices that deliver secure, scalable APIs and seamless system integrations for the full insurance lifecycle (quoting, policy issuance, payments, servicing, renewals, and claims). Work with Temporal workflow orchestration, rules evaluation integrations, and platform capabilities such as adapters and gateways. Apply clean architecture and distributed-systems best practices, with strong testing and secure service-to-service authorization.

Responsibilities

• Design and build .NET 8 microservices using a clean architecture layered approach (Domain/Application/Infrastructure/API layers)
• Implement Temporal workflows (typed workflow/activity interfaces, cross-task-queue dispatch, signal/query patterns)
• Integrate rules evaluation via GoRules ZEN engine (GoRules.Zen NuGet, Rust FFI in-process)
• Develop platform features (config registry, rules API, workflow gateway, payment and policy adapters)
• Implement cross-cutting concerns: Managed Identity auth, Cerbos authorization, structured logging with Serilog/Anotar
• Write and maintain xUnit tests with FakeItEasy and Shouldly; integration tests against real dependencies (no mock DB)
• Collaborate with platform/domain teams on API contracts, OpenAPI specs, and shared NuGet libraries

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience with C#/.NET
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET 8
• Experience with Temporal workflow orchestration and Temporal .NET SDK
• Experience designing and developing microservices
• Strong understanding of Clean Architecture, SOLID, and layered architecture
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and asynchronous processing
• Experience with system design topics: transactions, concurrency, idempotency, error handling
• Hands-on experience with Azure
• Strong experience with Entity Framework Core
• Experience writing unit and integration tests
• Experience with Docker and containerized development
• Ability to learn new technologies and libraries quickly
• Willingness to study project-specific libraries before the technical interview
• English level: Intermediate+ or higher
