Description

Consult with internal business groups to deliver application software development services aligned with business objectives. Analyze, define, and document requirements across data, workflows, processes, interfaces, controls, and outputs while partnering with stakeholders to recommend and implement technical solutions. Full stack responsibilities with a primary focus on Python backend development, API design/integration, Oracle database development, CI/CD, and support for AI-enabled analytics and automation.

Responsibilities

• Provide application development services and technical support to internal business groups

• Analyze, define, and document business and system requirements

• Partner with stakeholders to identify implementation opportunities and solutions

• Recommend resolutions to business and technology issues

• Support project planning (timelines, feasibility, cost estimates, compatibility)

• Establish and monitor development best practices, methodologies, and tools

• Propose solutions that improve performance, scalability, and supportability

• Develop backend services in Python and build/consume APIs (OpenAPI-based services)

• Design and optimize Oracle SQL queries and database components

• Manage source control and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Maven, and Docker

• Query/access data via Splunk APIs and support deployments

Requirements

• 5+ years of application development experience using enterprise technologies and modern practices

• Strong Python backend development experience

• Strong SQL and database development skills with Oracle (or equivalent)

• Experience with API integration, data modeling, ETL, and workflow automation

• Hands-on with Python, Oracle SQL, GitLab, APIs, Splunk, and App Engine

• Experience building and consuming APIs and working across front-end and back-end (JavaScript helpful)

• Experience with Maven, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines

• Experience supporting production environments and resolving application issues

• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices

• Experience integrating data from multiple sources and APIs

• Exposure to AI-enabled analytics/automation or AI coding assistants (e.g., Devin, Windsurf) preferred

• Securities/financial services industry experience preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and work experience)
