Description

Join the Availability & Reliability Team (ART) to develop and productionize autonomous, task-oriented AI agents that optimize internal engineering workflows, automate complex problem-solving, and improve platform efficiency. You will leverage reasoning and multimodal breakthroughs from the Gemini 3 family to build scalable, agentic solutions within the ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Architect and orchestrate autonomous agents to plan, execute, and verify complex engineering tasks (e.g., code generation, unit test creation, automated bug triage)

• Develop and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to connect agents to canonical internal documentation and tools for grounded, high-fidelity responses

• Use the Antigravity platform and Agent Development Kit (ADK) to build context-aware assistants that integrate with existing IDEs and development tools

• Lead the transition of AI proof-of-concept (POC) projects into production-ready services with internal search and productivity teams

• Propose and implement architectural changes to improve reasoning, reduce latency, and optimize token usage

• Mentor junior engineers on “vibe coding” practices and effective use of Gemini-powered agentic tools

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record in full-stack or backend development

• Deep practical knowledge of Java and Python

• Hands-on experience with LLMs, specifically the Gemini family, applied to agentic workflows, reasoning tasks, and tool-calling

• Familiarity with Agent Development Kit (ADK), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and agent design in Vertex AI

• Strong understanding of cloud-native development on Google Cloud Platform

• Proven ability to lead complex projects from requirements gathering through production release

• Ability to act as a strategic liaison between engineering and product stakeholders
