Description

The Critical Care Technician functions as an integral part of the patient care team, performing technical activities that support the needs of critically ill patients. The role helps nursing staff manage multiple demands, supports timely patient flow in the department, and ensures the unit is stocked and ready to receive and treat patients at all times.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient-care technical functions to support critically ill patient needs

• Support nursing staff by managing multiple priorities and maintaining effective workflow systems

• Facilitate timely flow of patient care in the unit

• Ensure the department is stocked and ready to receive and treat patients

Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent education/experience (equivalent experience accepted)

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider certification

• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy

• Ability to handle public contact and confidential information professionally

• Ability to prioritize and maintain effective workflow systems

• Ability to read and speak English legibly

• Interpersonal and communication skills
